Pervious Concrete and Why Should I Use It?
Pervious concrete pavement is a unique and effective means to address important environmental issues by capturing storm water and allowing it to seep into the ground. Porous concrete is instrumental in reducing storm water runoff, and meeting U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) storm water regulations. In fact, the use of pervious concrete is recommended by the EPA as a best management solution of storm water runoff on a regional and local basis. This pavement technology also creates more efficient land use by eliminating the need for underground drainage, swales and retention ponds. This environmentally friendly product could also provide a potential credit in the LEED® green building rating system.

What is RCC
Roller Compacted Concrete or RCC is applied with paving equipment and compacted with rollers. The concrete used has the same ingredients as regular concrete except it is drier. With the concrete being so dry it is stiff enough to compact with a roller. RCC is usually constructed without joints, forms, dowels, or steel reinforcements. It also has the added convenience of not needing to be finished (brushed).
